Such a lovely time I had this past weekend at the 2025 London Screenwriters Festival! I was asked to moderate a panel on writing the book first - the beating heart of storytelling. On the panel were Nicola May and Tom Mead. I've done a reel of the weekend.

I had such a lovely time at the SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators) retreat at Holland House in Cropthorne. I was the guest author, so gave a workshop and had some one to ones with other writers to discuss their work. I've made a reel which you can find here.

On 12th January, I attended a day on screenwriting for creatives at Ealing Studios, called Make it Reel. There was a pitch competition ... I entered ... and won! I've posted all about it in a blog post on the London Screenwriters Festival blog, which you can find here.

Had a great time at this new festival on Saturday, 14th, September! Though I did wonder if a bolt of lightning might get me for crossing the threshold of a church, to talk about murder... especially when we invaded the pulpit. Fellow panelists Joanna Wallace (You'd Look Better as a Ghost), Tina Baker (Call Me Mummy) and Hamish Morjaria (The Curse of the Muziris, coming soon) were so much fun! I'll be speaking to teens - and anyone else who is interested! - during half term at Salisbury library. There will also be a chance to get a signed book - they will be on sale on the day.
